Fire extinguished at Kwinana Refinery, no employees injured

A fire has occurred at Alcoa of Australia’s Kwinana refinery in a cooling tower undergoing planned maintenance. The fire was quickly extinguished and no-one was injured. Damage is estimated at between $500,000 and $1 million, and it is thought at this time there will be no impact to production.
