Alcoa is committed to building capacity within our own operations and the communities in which we work to create sustainable operations and sustainable and stronger communities with a shared future.
Stronger communities create opportunities for people and organizations to work together to bring about economic, social and environmental benefits for all of us.
To help the site achieve its aims it is essential that we consult with the community.

Community Consultation Committee

The Community Consultation Committee (CCC) is a consultative group made up of representatives from the local community, local government and the NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change.
Established in 2005, the CCC creates a forum for two-way communication between the Yennora site and the broader community regarding issues relevant to Alcoa and the local community.
The CCC meets quarterly to discuss a broad range of issues and opinions relating to all aspects of Yennora’s operations, however finished regular meetings when the facility closed in December 2014.
