Community Capacity and Resilience

Economic success depends on a region’s ability to attract and retain a talented workforce.  By investing in the quality of place – including community infrastructure, arts and culture, as well as a strong non-profit sector – we help build capacity of communities to ensure resilience of communities and give them a competitive edge in the global economy.

Timehelp
The Timehelp/Alcoa partnership provides an opportunity for seniors from the local area site to volunteer in the local community, contributing to Alcoa’s goal of building stronger, more sustainable communities.

Seniors volunteer in schools across the Western Sydney region assisting with a variety of activities including reading and craft and cooking classes, ensuring that their unique skills are not lost for the community.
