Alcoa aspires to be the best company in the world, and our corporate values and strong governance structures play a fundamental role in achieving this vision. Australian Business Units Alcoa’s operations in Australia include a number of business units, each with a separate corporate governance structure. Alcoa of Australia Limited, trading as Alcoa World Alumina Australia, is 60 per cent owned by Alcoa Inc. and 40 per cent by Alumina Limited. Other Alcoa business units in Australia are Alcoa Australia Rolled Products, Alcoa Wheel Products Australia and Alcoa Fastening Systems Australia, which are owned 100 per cent by Alcoa Inc. Corporate governance Our governance structure includes:
- Business conduct policies which apply to all employees, directors and officers
- A global ethics and compliance program to ensure all employees understand and comply with our corporate policies and the laws and regulations that govern our business
- An ethics and compliance line which provides a channel for employees and others to raise ethical concerns or seek clarification of our policies
- An independent global audit department which conducts financial, information technology, environmental and health and safety audits
