Arts for Everyone
Alcoa supports arts initiatives that enrich Australian communities by creating opportunities for community engagement in the arts.
Alcoa believes that creativity strengthens communities and makes them more vibrant places to live and work.
In keeping with our core philosophy of 'partnering stronger communities', Alcoa focuses on partnering with organisations, initiatives and events that make access to the arts a reality for all.
We are proud to share just a few 'Arts for Everyone' partnership highlights:
- Sculpture by the Sea - a free public sculpture exhibition held annually on Perth’s Cottesloe Beach, introducing some of Australia’s best sculpture to hundreds of thousands of beachgoers and art lovers. Alcoa also supports Sculpture by the Sea at Bondi Beach in Sydney.
- Geelong Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) - The GPAC education program includes performances, curriculum support, skill development opportunities and festivals for around 17,000 students in the Geelong and Surf Coast regions of Victoria.
- Fremantle Arts Centre - The 'in the community' program has been working with communities in the Peel and South West regions of Western Australia to create art works in their towns.
- NGV Kids - National Gallery of Victoria introduces children to art through this program of workshops, gallery tours, art classes and other activities.

Arts for everyone a winning formula!
In 2006, two of Alcoa's key arts partnerships were recognised in the Australian Business Arts Foundation Awards. Our partnership with GPAC was awarded the 'National Australia Bank Partnering Award’ in Victoria while Alcoa's partnership with Fremantle Arts Centre was named Australia's best community partnership, winning the 'Toyota Community Award' at the national level.
