Aluminium can recycling uses only 5% of the energy needed to make a new can from scratch. The Yennora site plays a significant role in diverting waste from landfill and contributes over $70 million in value added manufacturing in the Western Sydney region. At the site visitors can see a closed loop recycling process from the return of used aluminium cans through to the production of new canned sheet material ready to be made into new aluminium cans.
