Community Partnerships
It is our aim to ensure that the communities where Alcoa operates have networks that create opportunities for people, organisations and businesses to participate more fully in local economic, social and cultural activities. Alcoa Anglesea supports the local community through its Partnering Stronger Communities program. The program includes financial and in-kind support and focuses on a shared commitment to making local communities stronger and a better place to live and work. Partnership support The global financial crisis has impacted Alcoa. In an endeavour to maintain a sustainable business, Alcoa Anglesea’s partnership budget for 2009 and 2010 has been reduced. If you wish to apply for partnership support, please download the guidelines and application form below, and return them to the Community Relations Officer. We will also continue to support employees who volunteer in their own time through our Bravo! program. The Bravo! program recognises individual Alcoa employees who spend a minimum of 50 hours per calendar year doing volunteer work for an approved non-profit/non-governmental organisation. In recognition of the employee’s effort, the Alcoa Foundation will make a contribution of US$250 to the non-profit organisation. We wish you every success with your search for support! Please note: Our partnership process can take up to three months to assess an application, complete the appropriate paperwork and disburse the money so we ask that you submit your applications with this timeframe in mind.
