Application Process
Alcoa Anglesea’s Partnering Stronger Communities partnerships are an investment in recognition opportunities that will advance the long-term interests of the community, as well as the long-term interests of the company. Alcoa Anglesea does not provide support to:
- sponsorships that support, or are deemed to support, an individual (other than an employee sponsorship);
- travel expenses;
- political or sectarian events, programs or activities;
- commercial activity;
- prize money for professional sport;
- dangerous activities; or
- any form of discrimination.
Alcoa Anglesea’s sponsorship budget will be used locally (Anglesea, Surfcoast, Geelong and district). Submissions outside this area will only be considered in special circumstances. All decisions on sponsorships are made by the Alcoa in the Community Committee, which meets on a monthly basis. Any organisation that wants to apply for funds must complete an Application Form (see link below). Once the completed form is received by Alcoa, it will be reviewed by the committee at its next meeting. Because of the lead time in making decisions and in organising a cheque, it is necessary to submit applications at least two months before funds are required. For major sponsorships, considerably more time is often required. If successful, the organisation will need to provide a tax invoice to Alcoa and an Alcoa Report Back Form after the sponsorship. Once a tax invoice has been provided it takes approximately three weeks to organise a cheque.
