Portland Aluminium Tours
Visitors to Alcoa Portland Aluminium will view a modern and world-class aluminium smelter in action - they'll also see industry and the environment co-existing in harmony.
The land surrounding the plant has been developed into a 500-hectare 'Smelter in the Park', which demonstrates Alcoa’s commitment to protect the environment.
Free public tours include a guided drive through the operation and parklands, giving a unique insight into one of the world's most efficient aluminium smelters. Over 120,000 people have made the visit to Portland Aluminium since public tours began in 1990.
Tours run twice daily each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. To book a tour, phone the Portland Visitor Information Centre on 1800 035 567.
