Point Henry Tours
Tours of the Point Henry Smelter and Alcoa Australia Rolled Products' rolling mill, located just ten minutes from the bay-side city of Geelong, are free and suited to secondary school groups, university students, special interest groups and clubs.
Experienced guides are able to link curriculum objectives, environmental and community interests, and will tailor the tour to suit the needs and time of the visitors. The tours cover how aluminium is made – from dirt to the finished product – and subjects such as waste management, recycling, environment and community can also be included.
Tours are conducted on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and take approximately 1-2 hours – bookings are essential.
