Safety Pays in Portland Inspired by burns survivor, Chris Doulis, Portland Aluminium employees are on track to deliver over $40,000 to the KIDS Foundation’s ‘Safety 4 KIDS Program’, by making their own workplace injury free. Alcoa inducted into the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Alcoa of Australia has been inducted into the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame. The Manufacturing Hall of Fame showcases locally-based manufacturers whose innovative and sophisticated solutions to global manufacturing issues have made them world leaders. 
Celebrating International Women’s Day at Portland Aluminium Portland Aluminium hosted Portland District Hospital CEO Marie Shea as guest speaker on Wednesday March 8 to celebrate International Women’s Day. Ms Shea spoke to Portland Aluminium employees, contractors, union representatives and other invited guests about the rewards and challenges females face in public leadership roles.  National Pollutant Inventory released today - 1 February 2006 Portland Aluminium has welcomed the release of the 2004/05 National Pollutant Inventory (NPI). The NPI is a national database which reports emissions from a wide variety of sources such as industry, transport, power generation and bushfires.  Vandalism forces restricted public access to Baxter House - 24 January 2006 Access to Portland Aluminium’s Baxter House facility will be restricted due to continued vandalism, effective immediately.
