Anglesea Power Station Tours
Tours of the Anglesea Power Station and Coal Mine provide an insight into the way coal is mined, how power is generated, how Alcoa works to return mined land to a self-sustaining heathland ecosystem and the beauty of the Anglesea Heath.
Tours are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are free of charge. They are particularly suited to school groups (both secondary and primary), university student groups, special interest groups and clubs.
Guides are able to link curriculum objectives, environmental and community interests, and will tailor the tour to suit the needs and time of the visitors.
