About Portland Aluminium
Portland Aluminium, located in Portland in South West Victoria, is capable of producing approximately 352,000 tonnes of aluminium a year.
Portland Aluminium is a joint venture project with partners Alcoa 55%, CITIC 22.5% and Marubeni 22.5%. Alcoa manages the operation. Nearly all Portland Aluminium’s production is exported to Asia. The plant provides more than 600 jobs directly, has a contractual workforce of over 200 and provides thousands more jobs indirectly.
Free public tours of Portland Aluminium are held twice daily each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The tours include a guided drive through the operation and surrounding parklands. More...
