SAFETY CO-ORDINATOR
PT HENRY & ANGLESEA, Australia
We have an opportunity for a Safety Co-Ordinator, based in our Pt Henry Smelter, Geelong.
The Safety Co-ordinator facilitates the implementation of the safety agenda and drives and coordinates the direction of specific safety policies, programs and initiatives to enable the department to meet its safety business plan.
The focus is on working with people at all levels to systematically eliminate workplace risks/hazards and to continue to strengthen our sense of safety leadership. Training and systems management will be key features.
To be successful, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in EHS/Hazard Management
- Leadership and influencing skills
- Training and presentation skills.
- Computer and system skills will reflect your commitment to workplace safety as a key business imperative.
Demonstrated sound experience in a large complex environment is an essential prerequisite. You will also demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and drive to succeed, along with the ability to close out programs efficiently and effectively.
