 We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Applications Analyst/Programmer to join the Information & Process Systems team at our Wagerup Refinery.
 
Utilising a Honeywell Process Information software (PHD, BizCalc, Uniformance), as well as Alcoa specific applications, Wagerup has an extensive process information system.  The Manufacturing Applications Analyst is part of the team responsible for developing and maintaining these systems and providing development and training assistance to production and technical personnel. 
 
You will be involved in:
  • Project work that varies from small local requests to large scale upgrades of the process information systems that are being carried out as part of the QUASAR program (Alcoa-Honeywell Alliance). 
  • Developing HMI graphics, data calculations and collection.
  • Maintaining and developing Microsoft Office based solutions to plant specific process information requirements such as dashboards and reporting systems.
  • Supporting the site IT compliance requirements through Alcoa Auditing systems.
 
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with customers to assist them in obtaining the most out of the systems and information available are a requirement for this role.
 
The ideal applicant would have a degree in Computer Science or similar IT qualifications, and exposure to Honeywell Information Applications would be well regarded.   To be successful in this role you will also require a high level of competence in Microsoft Software, and have demonstrated exposure to dealing with customers in a developmental & support capacity.
