ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENT GROUP LEADER
KWINANA REFINERY, Australia
We currently have a vacancy in our Electrical Instrumentation Department for a Group Leader that offers an exciting opportunity for career development and growth in EI maintenance management.
In this challenging leadership role you will be responsible for developing effective EI work plans using a standardised planning process, as well as providing EI trades crew management in a Group Leader role. You will be involved in Daily and weekly planning, and development of the electrical/instrument plan each week to match business needs. This will include developing costed work packs which contain detailed work scope, resource requirements (including labour and equipment) and parts / materials management. As a Group Leader you will be responsible for crew safety, work performance and people development of the EI maintenance teams, ensuring they are properly trained and aligned to the refinery and department business goals. You will coach the crew to become an effective semi-autonomous work group that can make informed decisions to manage their own safety performance, work output, cost control, reporting and problem solving. As a minimum you will have an Electrical or Electrical/Instrumentation trade background (or equivalent) and have significant experience applying trade skills in a continuous processing environment. You must be able to demonstrate a successful history of planning, scheduling and executing electrical and instrument planned maintenance, preferably within a computerised maintenance planning system. You will have well developed communication skills enabling you to co-ordinate EI maintenance teams with the work of other maintenance disciplines and enabling you to negotiate issues and prioritise workload with your peers, other supervisory staff and senior production centre management. Exposure to Distributed Control Systems (preferable Honeywell) and PLC (preferable Allen-Bradley) systems is highly desirable. A proven record of accomplishment in the safe operation and maintenance of high voltage distribution systems, which may include circuit breakers, distribution transformers and overhead powerlines, is also highly desirable.
