MAINTENANCE GROUP LEADER
KWINANA REFINERY, Australia
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Group Leader to join Kwinana Refinery’s Operating Centre 7, as a turnaround group leader. The role involves planning and executing major shutdowns for the refinery and managing the supplementary shift call-out system. It is a 10 day position, with a requirement for shift relief cover. In this leadership role, you will be required to drive major shutdowns and contribute to significant reductions in turnaround cost and schedules.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing major shutdowns to cost and schedule.
- Managing the Kwinana supplementary shift call-out system.
- Leading crews in the above shutdowns.
- Coaching others to reach their full potential
- Guiding the operation centres to achieve their challenging goals in all areas of the business
- Developing and upholding very high standards of safe maintenance practices
- Implementing and sustaining business system improvements
- Auditing of standardised work practices
- Implement strategies across workgroups including process performance targets
- Managing to budgets
In this role you must be able to demonstrate process experience, strong focus on environment, health and safety and a commitment to deliver shutdowns to cost and schedule. It is essential you have good team leadership and communication skills as you will be required to lead people through change processes and work in cross-site teams. You will also require plenty of initiative and self-motivation and be able to work with minimal supervision. Knowledge and experience with planning and scheduling systems, execution of large shutdowns and Alcoa’s Business System are highly desirable.
