GRADE CONTROLLER / SURVEYOR
WILLOWDALE MINE SITE, Australia
A rare opportunity exists for a Grade Controller/Surveyor to join the team at our Willowdale Mine site, located approximately 20 minutes from the town of Waroona South of Perth.
This is a key role for the where you will be responsible for providing a support service to the Mine Operations Manager by assisting in the daily grade control of Willowdale minesite. The operation is required to supply bauxite at the contracted grade and rate to the Wagerup Refinery in an efficient, safe and cost effective manner. Reporting to the Production Operations Planner the Grade Controller is responsible for scheduling and coordinating the final preparation of ore bodies for mining from the long term mine plan on grade and on schedule to achieve the Bauxite Supply Contract.
Ideally you will have at least two years experience in this role or a planning role within a mining environment.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- High school Diploma or Survey Qualifications at Diploma Level;
- Excellent relationship building and maintenance skills;
- Excellent teamwork and problem solving skills;
- Knowledge of mining processes and operations;
- Sound computer skills, primarily Excel.
