SMELTER MANAGER

We have an exciting opportunity for a professional and experienced Smelter Manager to join Alcoa’s Point Henry Smelter.
This position is primarily responsible for the manufacture of anodes, molten aluminium, and the provision of services within the smelter. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Victorian operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the manufacturing process is safe, efficient and cost effective and continuously improving its performance. Through active participation and membership, you will contribute to the continued development of an interdependent Victorian Operations Lead Team that is focused on improving the sustainability of the Victorian Operations. To succeed in this position, you will have effective leadership skills, highly developed technical skills, and the ability to influence and inspire. Your strength in developing relationships is essential to allow you to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. This is an integral executive position within the business, and we are seeking a passionate and experienced leader. You will be tertiary qualified, and a background in manufacturing is essential. Additionally, experience in smelting will be highly regarded. You will enjoy a leadership role and possess the energy and motivation to achieve measurable results.
