POWERHOUSE CONTROLLER
KWINANA REFINERY, Australia

A number of opportunities currently exist within the WA Operations Powerhouse group at the Kwinana Refinery for motivated and adaptable people, with knowledge of computer-controlled power stations, to join the team as a Powerhouse Controller.

In these positions, you will assist in the day-to-day operation of the Refinery Powerhouse, to ensure a reliable supply of energy (steam, electricity and compressed air) to the refinery.  You will provide the direction and coordination required for all powerhouse plant and machinery movements and be required to work shifts.  The positions contribute to the commissioning of all new and overhauled plant, in accordance with the powerhouse Standard Operating Practices and Statutory Regulations. 
 
In order to meet the challenges of this role, you will possess a National Occupational Certificate of Competency in Advanced Boilers (BA) and Turbine Operation (TO).   Certification on Reciprocating Steam Engines (ES) is desirable, but not essential.  You will be team oriented with strong communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.  Previous experience in condition monitoring and distributive control will be highly regarded.
