Finance/Accounting
As a Finance Graduate, you will be exposed to a generalist finance position in order to assist in developing and facilitating best practice cost management systems and processes, co-ordinating business planning and forecasting, monthly performance reporting and analysis, controllership and assisting in preparing economic project evaluations.

Procurement
As a Graduate Procurement professional, you will gain hands-on experience within a wide range of procurement functions and develop your commercial acumen to become a key contributor to driving business opportunities.

Chemical/ Process Engineer

As a Graduate Chemical or Process Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience with a wide range of refinery or smelting equipment and will manage significant operations projects.  You will work across the business to provide the continuous improvement and process support in a wide range of areas.

 

Our graduates work on all aspects of the refining or smelting process and will have a variety of responsibilities and challenges, ranging from monitoring and controlling the process, trouble shooting equipment and Bayer process problems.  Other responsibilities include initiating and implementing laboratory, plant scale investigations and process modelling. You would also be involved in the development and implementation of process improvements and innovations.  This role will also involve contributions to improved environmental, health and safety performance, as well as ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Research Chemist
 
As a Graduate Research Scientist, you will gain hands-on experience in planning and implementing chemistry based R&D programs aimed at improving efficiency, productivity and product quality of Alcoa World Alumina refineries.

Our graduates assist in the improvement of Alcoa World Alumina refineries through conception of ideas for new or improved processes based upon the application of expertise and experience in chemistry. Graduates may assist in the design planning and implementation of theoretical, bench, pilot or plant scale R&D programs to determine the technical, economic and environmental feasibility of proposed process innovations.
