Matt Holland

Matt Holland, as Senior EHS Director for Alcoa Power Propulsion (APP), provides EHS leadership for APP’s 25 global operations.  Key components among his areas of focus are coaching business leaders in the execution of their EHS responsibilities, ensuring effective fatality prevention processes, driving implementation of human performance initiatives, and achieving Alcoa’s 2020 and 2030 sustainability goals in APP.
Matt also serves at Senior EHS Director for Alcoa Titanium and Engineered Products (ATEP), supporting ATEP’s 23 global operations. 
Matt joined Alcoa in 1997 at its Extrusions Operations in Lafayette, Indiana. He subsequently provided EHS leadership to Extrusions’ North American Aerospace Operations from 2003-2006 while serving as EHS Manager for Lafayette Operations through 2006.
Prior to these roles, he held the position of Director, Global EHS, for Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions and as Director, EHS, for Alcoa Global Hard Alloy Extrusions. During these assignments, he provided strategic EHS leadership for 14 locations in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Italy, Mexico and South Korea. Matt has also served as the Chairperson of Alcoa’s companywide Global Safety Committee.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in safety engineering management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in industrial safety from Indiana State University. He is a Certified Safety Professional and is a member of the Purdue University School of Health Sciences Advisory Board.
