Scott Ransley
Vice President and General Manager,
Structural Castings and Specialty Products

Scott Ransley, vice president and general manager, structural castings and specialty products, Alcoa Power and Propulsion, is responsible for the structural castings operations, and the specialty product businesses of Alcoa Power and Propulsion. In this position, Scott also directs APP’s machining, hot isostatic pressing and coating operations.
 
Scott joined Alcoa in August 2010. He previously served as vice president, commercial repair and overhaul operations, Chromalloy Gas Turbine Corporation where he was responsible for roughly half of Chromalloy’s worldwide operations.  In this position, Scott also served on the board of directors for Advance Coatings Technology, a Pratt & Whitney and Chromalloy joint venture company.  From 2005 to 2008, he was vice president and general manager at Wyman-Gordon East, a Precision Cast Parts Corporation business, where he was responsible for operations in Grafton and Worcester, Massachusetts, Brighton, Michigan, and Princeton, Kentucky. At United Technologies, from 1999 to 2005, he was vice president of supply chain strategy in Farmington, Connecticut; director of corporate strategy and development, UTC, Hartford, Connecticut; and director of strategic planning, Hamilton Sundstrand, Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
 
Scott attended MIT as a fellow in its Leaders for Manufacturing Program, earning an MBA from the Sloan School of Management and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tri-State University, Angola, Indiana. Scott resides in West Simsbury, Connecticut.
