Advantages of Alcoa wheels

Part 1 - Part 2

Even 300 tons Jumbo Jets land on aluminium wheels from Alcoa.

They hit the runway at about 240 km/h and the impact puts as much as 17 tons on the wheels.

Alcoa wheels are the best option in passenger transportation, because besides offering complete safety they have a distinctive style and never need to be painted-that means lower operating costs!

Fuel transporters prefer Alcoa because they provide greater load capacity per trip!

All Alcoa wheels available in Europe have passed the Japanese impact test (JWL). This test simulates a truck hitting a high curb at 50 km/h.

While the steel wheel shows excessive deformation and cast aluminium breaks, the Alcoa wheels pass the test successfully.

Alcoa Wheels are the only aluminium wheels allowed for all wheel positions of racing trucks. The FFSA (Truck Racing Technical Committee) approved Alcoa wheels for the outer twin rear, because of their superior impact performance.
