"Ultimate Factories: Lamborghini" Highlights Alcoa Wheels
September 25, 2009 The National Geographic Channel film crew visited Alcoa’s forging facility in Cleveland earlier this summer to document the production flow path of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce (SV) wheel as part of an upcoming episode of "Ultimate Factories: Lamborghini". Alcoa worked closely with Lamborghini to provide the optimal wheel to reduce vehicle weight and increase performance of this supercar. "Ultimate Factories: Lamborghini" highlights the entire production process of the SV and includes a five-minute feature on the Alcoa wheels fitted to the SV during the one-hour program. Tune in to "Ultimate Factories: Lamborghini" on the National Geographic Channel set to debut Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 8pm local time (check local listings).
