ALCOA ADDS ANOTHER 14” WIDE-BASE WHEEL TO LvL ONE™ PORTFOLIO
November 2, 2009 Cleveland, OH - Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products has added another new member to its LvL ONE™ line. The 14-inch LvL ONE wide-track axle fitment follows the standard 14” wide-base wheel application launched earlier this year, also weighing 9 pounds less than competitive aluminum wheel options. “Adding the 14” wide-track axle fitment to our current portfolio of 14” wide-base, 22.5” single and 24.5” single fitments further extends the benefits of LvL ONE for the vast majority of long-haul fleets,” said Mike Parnell, Vice President, General Manager Alcoa Commercial Vehicle Wheels. “More customers can now enjoy increased payload benefits while saving on fuel costs.” Besides being the lightest and strongest 14-inch wheel, this newest LvL ONE entry is also the brightest in its class. As with all LvL One wheels, it is at least six times brighter than competitive machined wheels with a 50-brightness rating, documented by using standardized test methods for the measurement of high gloss surfaces. The new 14-inch LvL ONE polished option wheel also qualifies to wear the black Alcoa Dura-Bright® Surface Treatment logo, a labor-saving plus.
