New Video Illustrates Easy-To-Clean Benefits of Dura-Bright® Technology
Dura-Bright® technology continues to gain momentum with customers including Shelby Autos, Audi, Dodge SRT and Jeep SRT. The ease of maintenance benefits are also enjoyed by light truck owners in the aftermarket.

The Alcoa Auto Wheels team took some time to develop a video to illustrate the ease of maintenance benefits of this unique surface innovation. A Dura-Bright® technology wheel and a painted clearcoat wheel were both subjected to a controlled brake dynamometer simulation to illustrate the differences in cleaning maintenance between each wheel surface option.

Wheel Trends Captured By Tyre Asia Magazine
Alcoa Wheels continues to strengthen and focus growth in markets globally. As Asian auto, truck and bus manufacturers look for solutions to curb vehicle CO2 emissions and increase fuel economy, they look to Alcoa. Recent program successes with Yotoung Bus and others have gained attention to forged aluminum wheels from Alcoa.

Tyre Asia recently reached out to Alcoa Wheels for input on trends in the wheel industry and how Alcoa is addressing the challenges from vehicle manufacturers looking to reduce total vehicle weight and increase fuel economy.

“Trends are directed by the needs of the end consumer. Drivers of commercial vehicles are looking for light-weight products that extend fuel economy and load ratings. Performance vehicle drivers also want light-weight products to enhance vehicle driving dynamics.”
