Alcoa Dura-Bright® Technology Wheel Surface Treatment
Alcoa’s Dura-Bright® technology is a patented wheel surface treatment that provides sophisticated style and appearance with ease of maintenance benefits. It is not a coating or a finish, but a proprietary surface treatment that penetrates and reacts with the aluminum thus becoming an integral part of the wheel. The revolutionary process resists peeling, cracking and corrosion. Alcoa uses a two-step surface finishing process to develop our polished clear coat wheels. First, the forged wheel is polished to a smooth and attractive appearance. Then a premium clear coat is applied to protect the aluminum. Alcoa offers polished clear coat wheels in many styles and sizes.

Alcoa forged alloy wheels with a polished clear coat provide additional levels of durability and ease of maintenance. A clear coat wheel offers a similar appearance to a polished aluminum wheel without the need to polish the aluminum.
