Step 1: Remove dirt
  • First, wash with water. High-pressure water might be used to remove dirt or mud.
  • While wheel is wet, spray aluminum wheel cleaner available evenly over the wheel.
  • Wait 10 to 15 min. until cleaner works well.
  • When the wheel becomes white and dirt is removed, wash with water thoroughly to remove cleaner.
  • Continue the above cycle if necessary. A brush might be used for heavy dirt. Strong brushes could cause scratches and should not be used.
  • After rinsing with water, air dry the wheel.

Step 2: Polish
  • After cleaning and drying the wheel, use polish to recover the aluminum shine.
  • Using a soft cloth, apply a little polish to the wheel surface, around 15 square cm at a time.
  • Rub the polish gently over the surface until the cloth turns black. Concentrate on one small area at a time to keep polish from drying out.
  • Then buff the wheel with a dry, clean cloth to revive the shine to finish.

Note:
When using a cleaner, please use a mild product or a cleaner recommended by Alcoa. Industrial cleaners with coarse aluminum polish may scratch the wheel. Also, do not use any strong acidic or base cleaners. They may cause degradation and air leaks. After using a cleaner, thoroughly rinse with water. When washing, make sure not to hurt your hands on the machined edges of the wheel.
