Business details and characteristics:
Products are delivered to all machine manufacturers in Japan. The main products are machine outer plates (polished skins), main wing outer plates, main wing rib materials, stringers, keel beams, and forged tail wing supports.
Rolled plates, extruded materials, and forged products are imported and sold from plants in the United States. Alcoa developed most of the airplane materials used today and is currently developing various types of alloys. These alloys will be introduced to Japanese customers. Development and improvement are supported by discussing the technical needs of customers with the research institute at company headquarters and with plant technicians.
Global movements, especially in the United States, are ascertained and communicated with customers, which contributes to smoother procurement plans.
