Alcoa-SIE Cargo Conversions signs agreement with Aeronautical Engineers Inc. to convert 757-200 to cargo configurations

Simi Valley, CA, March 7, 2007 - Alcoa Inc. (NYSE AA) announced today an agreement with Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) to perform cargo conversions and maintenance on 757-200 aircraft for its Alcoa-SIE Cargo Conversions(ASCC)business unit. The addition of Aeronautical Engineers Inc. adds a proven expertise in cargo conversions and airframe maintenance to the ASCC 757 freighter conversion program. Conversions and other maintenance will be performed by AEI at Commercial Jet, Inc. at Miami International Airport.

Aeronautical Engineers, Inc.

AEI’s inception traces back to the late 1950’s when it received its first STC for a Passenger to Freighter conversion on a McDonnell Douglas DC-6. In the years since, AEI has developed engineering packages and STC’s for General Dynamic aircraft models CV-240, CV-240-27, and CV-340/440, as well as McDonnell Douglas DC-6/6B and DC-7. AEI currently holds STC’s for Passenger to Freighter conversions on Boeing 737-300, B737-200, B727-100, B727-200, DC-8, L1011 and L188 aircraft to date AEI has over 120 STC’s. Over 350 aircraft have been converted with AEI STCs. AEI is currently working on its B737-400 conversion and expects STC approval in the second quarter of 2007.

Commercial Jet Inc., (CJI) AEI’s sister company, is currently the only AEI authorized modification facility. CJI is an FAA approved Repair Station, Number OMJR606K; and European Aviation Authority Number 1592/2002 Aircraft Maintenance and Modification Center. CJI is located at Miami International Airport and provides a full service airframe inspections and repairs of Boeing B707, B727, Classic and Next Generation B737’s, B757, B767, B747, DC8, DC9, MD80, MD90’s, DC10/MD11 Airbus A300.
