(1) Pin protrusion after installation and break-off shall be within the limits shown in table. Pin position is measured from the top of sleeve head to the outside diameter of the pin break-off groove. (2) The height of the installed collar shall be within the limits shown in the table when measured from the top of the sleeve to the top surface of the lock collar. (3) It is permissible for the driven lock collar to have a thin concentric ring of flash adjacent to the pin thread or a non-concentric ring of flash thicker on one side than the other providing the flash is within the limits shown in the table. Flash is measured from the top of the sleeve to the widest area of the flash. Note: The broken pin and lock collar protrusion may be shaved flush with the sleeve head, or the sleeve head and lock collar may be shaved to a maximum of .002" If the fastener is cocked in the material, the outer edge of the sleeve may be shaved on one side. Shaved portion shall not extend more than half way from the outside edge of the sleeve to the lock collar. |
