To create an office addition for a manufacturer of high-end, highly polished welding equipment, the architects employed bold forms rendered in the company’s signature silver and black colors with glass and Reynobond ACM.
Crisp lines and rounded corners of the sleek new façade virtually dominate the site. Reynobond ACM was selected as the primary material for the façade because of its sleek, bold look as well as its flatness, uniformity and ability to form shapes, transitions and detailing important to the building’s envelope. In the occasionally harsh climate of Ontario, the durability of Reynobond was also an important factor.
Complex geometry was used to fabricate 10,000 square feet of Reynobond ACM as serpentine curve bullnose, fascia panels and column covers. The ACM panels were installed in the Riverside Group’s high-performance R4-300 Dry Joint Pressure Equalized Rainscreen System, creating an envelope system that seals the building and integrates the panels on top of it.
