Charged with creating a cost-effective, unique design, three prominent architectural firms produced the dramatic Phase V of the Orange County Convention Center.
Panels for fascias, canopies, arches and walls throughout the building were fabricated using 90,000 square feet of Reynobond® ACM. Reynobond® ACM was selected because of the challenging design requirements, which ranged from simple wall panels to taking a panel and making it more 3-dimensional than ever on the graduated, vertical radius entrance arches. These arches start 100 feet in the air and rise to more than 150 feet. Installation involved dry and wet seal systems using the RLS- 8000 Gasket and Wet Seal Systems. The wet seal system was used above and below the curtain wall and on the perimeter of the building.
