Puerto Rico’s largest indoor arena, located in the busy financial district of San Juan, can be reconfigured quickly to accommodate events ranging from basketball games to boxing matches to a three-ring circus. Considering its unique design and location, the structure’s building materials had to be as flexible as the building itself. Reynobond ACM was selected for the flexibility, look, color and flatness of the panels, and the strength and proven durability of the material in warm weather conditions.
The sleek, contemporary look provided by the Reynobond panels ties the innovative design of the Coliseo to neighboring structures in the financial district. More than 100,000 square feet of Reynobond ACM were fabricated into panels for the exterior façade, canopies, stair exterior, some interior elements at the main entrance, exterior underbelly of the high roof and exterior of the elevator towers.
